Well, that's a very subjective thing...but...maybe a thin bright white (3 or 4 pixels ) border all the way around ...
..or a tiny bit thicker ( say 5 to 8 pixels ? ) ..and make it so the top and and left side are black ...but the bottom and the right side are white....maybe some gradient shading into grey at the 2 points ( the opposing corners ) the black and white meet
..only you the artist can ultimately decide yes ?..
Just play around and experiment ...playing around is what we do yes ?...

thanks for your time and your advises it opened more doors before my eyes. i did tried your suggestions I want the viewer to imagine the space around the subject in any way he/she wants it to, but i think a border cuts the picture from imagination of the viewer. i'm gladly waiting to discuss this if you like. again thanks for your help it will always be appreciated.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
